Jowzan (Persian: جوزان), also Romanized as Jowzān and Jaūzān; also known as Zaūzan,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Jowzan Rural District of the Central District of Malayer County, Hamadan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,854 in 740 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,719 people in 815 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,625 people in 825 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
