Hi Merovingian,

Thanks. I see you've renamed the articles to reflect the new spellings I used. I thought I'd explain a couple inconsistancies I've left in:

I've collapsed dialect chains into single articles. These are stubs for the most part anyway, and there is little agreement as to which varieties warrant separate language status. However, I've made four exceptions: ‖Ani, because Ladefoged mentions it as being one of the few languages with uvular clicks, and I don't know if that holds for the entire Kxoe cluster; the !Kwi languages, since they're so poorly recorded it's hard to tell what's what (two that are quite close, N/u and X/am, and notable for different reasons, and so should probably be kept distinct regardless); G‖ana and G/wi, since there's a good deal of anthropological literature on these two groups under those names; and the Ju cluster, for the same reason, though I plan on reducing that to three entries (only two are notable in the lit). If any of the other idioms become notable in the literature, or are reclassified as distinct languages, of course they can be split off again. kwami 06:08, 2005 September 2 (UTC)
