Tupilak[edit]

I suggest, that "Tupilak" should be

  • moved from the section of "God[desse]s" to the section of "Creatures and spirits" or to "Objects and terms"
  • made to point to the recently created Tupilaq page, thus making the redlink blue.

Tupilaq seems to be not a proper noun (a person, having an identity). In Geenland, tupilaqs were made as magic tools, objects. In other Inuit cultures, word "tupilaq" has also other meanings, but not goods, rather spirits.

Because of local variations in meaning of this word, I suggest moving to section "Creatures and spirits": Greenlandic tupilaqs were rather man-made creatures, tupilaqs of other Inuits were ghost-like beings.

Following considerations mentioned above, I have

  • made Tupilak redlink alive by pointing to Tupilaq;
  • moved it from section “Godesses” to “Creatures and spirits”.
