Things you can do

I created this template because I felt it was desperately needed. I only added those characters I knew from the annual books, the occasional comics and the Classics from the Comics I've read. Feel free to improve it if you've got more information that is reliable. Thanks, --Spiby (talk) 18:06, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Needs updating[edit]

Calamity James, Gnasher and Gnipper, and Robbie Rebel all no longer appear. All three have vanished within the past year. James due to Tom Paterson's Dennis commitments, Robbie due to Ken Harrison's work on Minnie the Minx (as he also stopped doing Desperate Dan, and Minnie only appears twice every three weeks or so, I believe he has semi-retired) and G&G due to the addition of an extra Dennis story. But as my source is The Beano itself, I can't cite it. Digifiend (talk) 12:15, 10 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lord Snooty's back (or rather, his grandson is), so I've moved him to the current strips list. Digifiend (talk) 13:23, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a new story, Olaff the Madlander, to the list. This is in fact the Beezer strip Adrian the Barbarian, so I created an article for that as well. Digifiend (talk) 13:21, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for updating! I don't receive the Beano myself, so I'm not up to date. Spiby 15:36, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Another change - Rasher's back (reprints drawn by Dave Sutherland) so I moved it to present strips. I think Ratz, Olaff and Pirates have been axed, but haven't moved them as I'm not certain. Digifiend (talk) 13:26, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ratz hadn't, it was suspended due to an artist change. (oops! Good job I dodn't make those changes!) I've added Super School to the template, and re-did it's article, which someone had unjustly previously deleted. Why am I the only one who updates this template anyway? Do no other Wikipedians read The Beano these days? Digifiend (talk) 09:50, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Magic Comic[edit]

I have added The Magic Comic to see also as it had strong links to the Beano - not least that the two shared an annual in the 1940s Dunarc (talk) 18:35, 30 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Bash Street School[edit]

I have removed Bash Street School from 'See also' as it is just a redirect to the Bash Street Kids article which is covered elsewhere in the template. Dunarc (talk) 23:48, 14 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Beano's Dennis the Menace and Gnasher Show[edit]

On the discussion concerning the merger of The Beano's Dennis the Menace and Gnasher Show with this article the claim that the series was shown on ITV was challenged by myself and another contributor. While it is repeated here there is not a source cited for this, so I am not sure if ITV was should be included here.
