Lead image[edit]

Would [1] be a better lead image, or the current one (probably would redo the current one's colours a bit. While the original is a bit dark, so lightening it wasn't a bad idea, it might get a bit better look with some care when doing the levels adjustment. Well, going to presume no-one much cares. Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 8.8% of all FPs. 20:28, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
For fuck's sake. I spend literally a month working on an image, and the reaction to a fucking sliver of headroom is to "compromise" by replacing it with a completely different image that A. is full of chromatic abberation and B. appeared in the article much further down, so was used twice. @Emiya1980: Let the people who know what they're doing with images handle images, please, because you clearly don't know anything about historical images, and it's getting frustrating, like I don't want to do anything on any article you might potentially ever edit. I did not replace the image you used. I just made alterations to the "crop_top_perc" category when editing the Taft article's infobox. If you have that much of a problem with it, do an RFC and obtain consensus opinion on how the image should look.Emiya1980 (talk) 14:47, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm really sorry. It was this edit withput a summary. I'll try to be less prickly. Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 8.9% of all FPs. 18:09, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

William Howard Taft

William Howard Taft (September 15, 1857 – March 8, 1930) was the 27th president of the United States, serving from 1909 to 1913, and the tenth chief justice of the United States, serving from 1921 to 1930, the only person to have held both offices. Taft was elected president in 1908, the chosen successor of Theodore Roosevelt, but was defeated for reelection in 1912 by Woodrow Wilson after Roosevelt split the Republican vote by running as a third-party candidate. In 1921, President Warren G. Harding appointed Taft to be chief justice, a position he held until a month before his death.
