Chinese singer category[edit]

I removed this since he is not a Chinese citizen. I understand that he is fluent in that language but it seems that category refers to nationality. Also, this has nothing to do with "liking it or not". Thanks! --Tom 00:57, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think the base of a singer should be determined by his nationality, but his ethnic origin. In this case, Vanness should be classed as Chinese artist, fluency of language is definately not the criteria of judging one's originality. Vanness is Chinese physically, and also willing to pursue his career in Asia; hence, I see him as Chinese.

By your criteria, there would be almost no "American" singers as only about 1% of the US population is primarily of indigenous heritage. Penser (talk) 19:26, 16 June 2008 (UTC)penser[reply]

External Links and Sourcing[edit]

I added VanNess' official blog to the list of external links. Can the fan forum and fanlisting links be removed? It's my understanding they don't meet Wikipedia's requirements for inclusion. Also, there are no citations in the article. I will work on finding some English-language sources but I cannot read Chinese -- help with sources in those languages would be welcomed! - Hamuhamu (talk) 01:44, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article name change[edit]

Proposing moving article to "Van Ness Wu." That's how his name is on all official sites. "Vanness Wu" would redirect to new location and all of page's history would go to new name. Discussion? --Hamuhamu (talk) 04:46, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
