Isn't the m50 bridge also between worcs and tewks? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.132.249.39 (talk) 00:05, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, as is the Worcester by-pass. I will remove that "notability" as it's not notable and not accurate. Sumorsǣte (talk) 09:24, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Upton-upon-SevernUpton upon Severn – This is the name of the settlement even though its civil parish uses hyphens. Google Maps doesn't use hyphens and neither does the town council (even though the council is more likely to use the name of the parish) since the town council is the parish's council. The welcome sign also doesn't have hyphens. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:53, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Against I have a phone directory which gives postal addresses as Upton upon Severn but the associated dialling codes as Upton-upon-Severn. Some online address selectors spell it one way, some the other. My un-favourite is the web delivery form which offers Upton-upon-Severn on its drop-down list but then barfs on the hyphens as non-alphanumeric characters when I click Send. There probably are niceties between the two spellings (I remember my father arguing about it back in the 1960s), but since the article is about both the town and the parish, nobody can say that either of them is incorrect. I see no mandate for change. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 21:00, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
