Updates for 2009?[edit]

A report from Pike Research ("Building-Integrated Photovoltaics -- BIPV and BAPV: Market Issues, Technology Issues, Key Industry Players, and Global Market Forecasts") dated "3Q 2010" refers to "the catastrophic drop in demand from Spain from about 2,600 MW in 2008 to about 70 MW in 2009".

This is perhaps explained by the currently cited reference http://www.enn.com/energy/article/38265 from September 2008 ("Spain expects 3,000 MW in solar plants by 2010") which states "Spain's government said its new and less generous subsidy scheme, due to take effect shortly...".

It would be good, therefore, to find out just what's happened with solar power in Spain since the rosy predictions in this article were written. 192.55.55.39 (talk) 20:06, 8 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Totally outdated[edit]

Most basic data and facts based on a "Newswire" article from 2006 full of questionable quality information and wrong quantitative statements. Shouldn't show up in Wikipedia, not with the present content. Rmsoran (talk) 15:22, 9 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Citation links not working[edit]

In the Regional PV distribution section which is within the Photovoltaics part (Reference number 23), the link of the source does not work. Instead of taking you to the original source, the requested URL cannot be found. This is not the only reference link that has a problem; also links number 13,14, 15, 17, 29 are also not conducting to the original source of information.

Incompleted content: Policies, laws and incentives[edit]

The section 5.1 is quite incomplete. It could be developed and extended way more. For instance, by adding the date when the policy was implemented or specifying to which kind of buildings (dimension criteria) is the policy applicable. Moreover, within this sub-section ("New building codes), we could make a distinction between: on the one hand, the policy that applies to Photoviltaics and on the other hand the one related to solar thermal power as the laws apply differently depending on the type of energy category.

Please be bold and feel free to edit the page if you have more information. Ideally, the added info should be referenced. --Ita140188 (talk) 06:09, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Adding new sub-section[edit]

The information within the third section called "Solar thermal power plants" is too concise. I would suggest to add a subsection under the name of "Solar Concentra" which is a technological Platform very important in Spain used as a tool to foster R&D activities, cooperation and coordination (among other objectives) in the sector. Since its creation, it has had a huge impact and therefore, it might be important to talk about it. Actually, the article talks about it but in a very narrow way under the section "Research and Development". Therefore, I suggest to erase the information given in the latter section and add the new sub-section proposed beforehand.

Outdated data[edit]

The "Regional PV distribution" Section is completely outdated. It only shows graphs with data from 2010 and 2011, and we are almost in 2018...
