Setting borders in 1918 or 1920[edit]

In 1920 the Treaty of Trianon assigned the county to Czechoslovakia.

or

In 1918 (as confirmed by the Treaty of Trianon 1920), the county became part of the newly formed Czechoslovakia.

I think the Treaty of Trianon was not just a confirmation, the exact borders were still undecided. Edvard Benes was negotiating well for the Czechs and Slovaks while the Hungarian delegation made serious mistakes trying to restore the original borders of the Kingdom of Hungary instead of focusing on the borders along ethnic lines (see Red Map at the Treaty of Trianon).
So how did the territory become part of Czechoslovakia in 1918 and why is it correct to present Trianon as a simple confirmation of that? "Confirmed by" suggests the Treaty was just a formality. Squash Racket (talk) 17:43, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ruthenian Language[edit]

Under the demographics section, the group "Ruthenian" links to the site on the Ruthenian language. I highly suspect that the actual language the census was referring to is Rusyn, which was very common in that part of Hungary at that time. It's confusing, because the Rusyns were often called Ruthenian, among other names. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.203.128.141 (talk) 18:11, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're probably right, Ethnologue calls the language Rusyn, with Ruthenian as an alternative name. I'll change it. Markussep Talk 18:27, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
