Presidents[edit]

I have added a small table with some of the recent Presidents. I know I have relied on the RCS's own site for some references, but I know there are other, more reliable, sources which corroborate the data. Some of the individuals appear note-worthy in their own right, with obituaries in national newspapers, so a more careful trawl through the papers might provide enough information to warrant a series of articles about more of them. —ClickRick (talk) 09:14, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have expanded the table, having found that several earlier Presidents already had WP articles written about them. —ClickRick (talk) 11:47, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can find biographical information on past fellows on the College's lives online site. - 'Records for all deceased former presidents are now available online,' Comrade (talk) 13:44, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Does no one else think this entire article is written by mainly one person? Or perhaps mainly one intention... it seems rather slanted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.40.36.166 (talk) 23:01, 2 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Founding & History[edit]

Could someone provide more detail about the conflict between the barber-surgeons and surgeons? (I'm going to add links to the respective articles for these two — the former, being a Mediæval occupation no longer existing in modern times, may be confusing to some readers, and although the "surgeon" article is incredibly poorly written it does have a history section. If I knew anything about the subject, I'd rewrite it myself, but I can always hope that by linking to it I'll induce more people to discover how bad it is so that eventually someone who does know something about it will be sufficiently scandalised to rewrite or at least partially repair the bloody thing.)

Also, the "history" section should either be renamed to something like "founding" or "origins," or include more than just how & why the organisation was created. Mia229 (talk) 06:27, 19 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
