Fair use rationale for Image:Koral.jpg[edit]

Image:Koral.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:32, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Addition to history-section[edit]

As I have a conflict of interest in relation to the article, I'd like to propose the following addition to the history section, just before the section containing notable alumni. It would be great id anyone would review the text to make sure it is NPOV:

Recent history[edit]

Roskilde University offers higher education at bachelor-, master, and Ph.d levels within four main areas: humanities, humanistic technologies, social science and science. The traditional educational setup at RU was based on two years of general studies in one of the main scientific areas and four years of specialization. Today, the university follows the general educational structure in Denmark based on three years of bachelor studies qualifying for a two-year master study.[1][2] RU is characterized by a high degree of student involvement in educational planning and a large amount of problem oriented project studies covering approximately half the ECTS quantity. RU offers international bachelor and master studies within humanities, social science and science in English with the same structure as the Danish programs. Since 2014, Hanne Leth Andersen has been president of the university after serving as vice president from 2010 . Unsourced. The first sentence is promotional.

  • I've added the first cited portion to a Degree programs-type section. Secondary sources would be preferred, but primary sources are acceptable for a neutral summary of services offered. CorporateM (Talk) 18:14, 18 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New picture[edit]

Since the current picture was taken, the main building of RU has been moved. I've taken a photo of the new main building to replace the current one, if you agree.

Corporation with other universities[edit]

In 2012 Roskilde University entered the European corporation “The Challenges of the multilingual and multicultural Learning Space in the International University”. The program includes a wide range of European universities with the goal of internationalization and quality assurance among the participants. The program is running from 2012 to 2015 as a part of the larger common European aim “Youth on the move”[1]. For several years Roskilde University has corporated with Copenhagen Business School on a series of studies, especially the business master cand.merc which works as an extension of the RU business bachelor HA. The corporation is based on common study methods, group work and project orientation. Along with Aalborg University Aarhus University, and other nordic university, RU forms the organization Uartic with the purpose of strengthening the corporation between nordic universities.[2] RU corporates with the Danish Technical University in a regional development scheme for the Sjælland region in which RU is located. Activities within it are funded by around 70 million Euro by the European Union regional development funds.[3]

The sources are in a foreign language and therefore impossible for me to verify. However, at a glance the proposed draft is probably too long, and the second citation which is a primary source, should not be used. I'd suggest re-submitting with a shorter draft using only the independent sources. To be independent, a source should be independent of both the company and the organization it is partnering with.
