Name[edit]

This river has always been referred to by the Ordnance Survey as the Afon Honddu. Certainly it is also known as the 'River Honddu' just as it is known simply as 'the Honddu' and I've used that shortened version of the name in the article several times. There is of course another 'Honddu' - the tributary of the Usk at Brecon - which I know is also referred to by the same set of three names. That is why I thought there might be a need for some disambiguation. Search on 'Afon Honddu' and you are presented with the two options. Search on 'River Honddu' and you'll only get to the Monmouthshire 'Honddu' at present.

Pronunciation[edit]

It would be good if someone could add the correct pronunciation - presumably not "Hon-doo"... Ghmyrtle (talk) 12:09, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
