Merger?[edit]

It seems to me that this article should be merged into Reston, Virginia. While RTC is an important component of Reston, it hardly seems worthy of an article on its own. RossPatterson 03:36, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would merge the articles RTC is just a pert of Reston and does not deserve its own article ((Shocktm | Talk | Contributions)) 15:39, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not so sure about the merge. Granted, RTC is a somewhat obscure topic for a global encyclopedia. But we have plenty of those kinds of topics, and many aren't as substantial as this article. My primary concern would be ensuring that the material read more like an encyclopedia article and less like a brochure. If so, I'd support it as a separate article. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 22:40, 26 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, it's been more than a month and there's no consensus pro or con on the merge. I'm withdrawing the suggestion. RossPatterson 01:36, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Gang war[edit]

Shoulden't there be some kind of mention on the gang war that happened on may 4th? -dan —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.100.65.65 (talkcontribs) 08:49, 5 May 2007

Not unless it is of more than temporary local interest and reliable sources are cited for the information. Wikipedia is a global encyclopedia, not a local news service. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 13:10, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures[edit]

I just have a comment, if there are pictures I think there should be one of th original main drag with the fountain and everything. I think that's important. --Howdybob 13:39, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Leidos/SAIC promotional edits[edit]

SAIC might have been topical if it were, for instance, a well-known early part of Reston, e.g., before the 1990s. But it came fairly late (sources to the contrary are lacking), and was not of much interest overall (there are many companies with offices in Reston) TEDickey (talk) 11:38, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
