The Swedish coastal artillery and it's missile battery section is terrible[edit]

The section on the missiles that once belonged to the Swedish coastal artillery is terrible, in fact it is so terrible it even gets the manufacturer of the trucks wrong. Where to start. First the article links to an SVD article from 1987 as proof there where four anti ship missile batteries in service. This is false only one battery where ever built and entered service the other three where stricken in budget cuts as the cold war ended between 1987 and 1995 when the battery became operational. It also claims that one of the batteries where emplaced on Gotland with the same link from 1987, this is impossible to know in fact the battery was organised by KA2 in Karlskona and not by KA5 which is on Gotland. I will try to clean this up.

The info on the Rb 08 confuses[edit]

The RB 08 has nothing in simmilar with the RBS 15 other than it's bulk being to large promting the development of the RBS 15. The RBS 15 is traced to the RB 04 missile family used by the Swedish air force from the early 1960's to the late 1990's with which it shares the same body and warhead for instance. The RB 08 is a Frensh CT-20 target/drone missile modified with a seeker and warhead. Also when the RBS 15 was first presented to the Navy by SAAB in 1978 in a bid to build the navys new heavy anti ship missiles the SAAB project name was Rb 04 Turbo [1] The Rb 04 Turbo project was at first found inferior to the Harpoon but SAAB changed the design specifications to remedy this, following this the name RBS 15 was choosen as a way to sell the missile as a new weapon (which it to a very large degree is). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.228.59.11 (talk) 12:48, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rb 04[edit]

Shouldn't the Rb 04 be split to another article? It is, after all, a very different missile from the RBS-15

Brazil[edit]

   The Brazilian Navy has chosen the Mk. III to equip its Barroso class corvette and also plans to equip their Niteroi Class Frigate.

Name[edit]

The proper name for this weapon, and the page, would be Robot 15. Rbs 15 might work as a secondary, but the proper name is Robot. And at no point should there be a '-' in between the word and the number. It's RBS 15, not RBS-15.85.229.59.238 (talk) 23:37, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't just take your word for it, but did my own investigation. There's a space because that's how the other articles with RB and RBS designations on English Wikipedia are titled, such as RBS 70, so I was being consistent with them. That is apparently the Swedish Government's convention. This is also the format used in the Swedish Wikipedia article, and that's also what I followed. That others aren't consistent is their problem, not ours. If you still have an issue, you're welcome to initiate a move proposal per WP:RM. BilCat (talk) 22:52, 8 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia ist not a reliable source, and that includes the Swedish Wikipedia. What remains is government use, and I would suggest that they are trumped by the sum of both manufactures and the majority of sources given in this very article.

I simply made my best judgement as to the proper title, per my responsibilities as a Page Mover. You have alternatives steps to get the title changed if you chose to use them.
