Fair use rationale for Image:Prez3.jpg[edit]

Image:Prez3.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Name[edit]

Prez (comics) redirects here and there are now other Prezs that I can find in comic databases, so Comics Project naming conventions suggest this should be moved to the "(comics)" version. I may be missing something so I won't do this immediately. (Emperor (talk) 17:17, 10 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Cause of Death[edit]

In the discussion of the Prez: Smells Like Teen President special, there was a claim that Prez died from a brain tumor brought on by the lies of Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton. The story depicts Prez's death as being in 1991, pre-Clinton Administration (the story, published in September 1995, is set four years after his death), and an illustration depicting the men who Prez believes destroyed the dream of America clearly shows Reagan, Bush Sr., and Oliver North, but no Clinton. Whoever had Clinton on the list in this writeup was using their own bias or making a hamfisted attempt at being "unbiased", and not being accurate to the comic itself or the tone the writer chose. When I edited Clinton's name out on a previous visit, it was purposely added back in, again pointing to a political bias on the re-editor's (de-editor's?) part. Look at the comic itself. Page 52. Naming Clinton as one of the causes of the character's death is simply incorrect. The identifiable references were events during the Reagan and Bush Sr administrations, and the four figures depicted are clearly Reagan, Bush Sr, Oliver North, and Edwin Meese; none could be construed as an image of Clinton. The timeline described in the story makes it perfectly clear that Prez died before Clinton took office. I've removed this misinformation from the article. -99.54.139.99 (talk) 23:23, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
