New Qing History[edit]

This sentence is extremely misleading: "The school now known as the New Qing History appeared in American academia after his famous debate with Evelyn Rawski in 1996." It wrongly implies both that Ho was responsible for the New Qing History and that he has been judged as having come down on the right side of the debate with Rawski. Quite the opposite is true; scarcely any serious historian of China today thinks Ho's ideas about "Sinicization" are still viable, and in fact Rawski has been one of the leaders of the New Qing History movement.--108.36.159.94 (talk) 04:20, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to see that the wording has been improved in the current version.--96.245.98.213 (talk) 16:41, 28 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
