Being a Pacifica resident, I found this very funny,

"Pacifica is also home to the only Taco Bell restaurant (which was an A&W until the early 1980s) located directly on a beach (Pacifica State Beach); this Taco Bell was rated #9 on The Travel Channel's World Best Fast Food Stops."

I would vote it an eyesore, and think it should win an award for being "The world's worst place to put a fast food restaurant"!  :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.113.40.130 (talkcontribs)

    • ha. i grew up in pacifica. it is a pretty gross taco bell what with all the sand being tracked in. Spookyadler 08:29, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article says Pcifica was only scouted for House of Sand and Fog, but it seems to me the Pacifica Pier was pictured in the movie. Don't think they rebuilt that in So. Cal. Andyvphil 00:28, 26 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Overview[edit]

The text of the overview is limited to primary research as there are no citations to an original source, and is neither neutral or objective. Also, the overview is limited to discussing outdoor activities like surfing & mountain bike cycling that reads like an ad to attract tourists & home buyers. It might be prudent to excise the overview rather than try to edit this section now, and hope that someone with knowledge of objective, primary source on the city of Pacifica.

Confusing[edit]

What does the statement "The name "Pacifica" was chosen from Thomas Barca, by vote" mean? "Chosen from Thomas Barca" makes no sense without context. Also, is it worth recording in WP? Zaslav (talk) 01:02, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What does "Pacifica is divided into roughly eleven districts" mean? Is it divided into districts? Is the number of districts known? Are these districts simply the previous unincorporated communities? Zaslav (talk) 01:04, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

City Government and general updating.[edit]

Census information is woefully in need of an update.

"Mayor - Tygarjas Twyrls Bigstyck" No. Just no. Mayor currently is Sue Vaterlaus, with Sue Beckmeyer serving pro-tem

I'll get back to this article at some point, but I'd appreciate some assistance for citing sources if anyone sees this, I'm inexperienced with doing so. ButterscotchPuffin (talk) 09:02, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Correcting myself immediately, Tygarjas Twyrls Bigstyck is a real person, they just aren't the mayor anymore. The position rotates on a yearly basis. ButterscotchPuffin (talk) 09:08, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
