Untitled[edit]

The recent edits regarding the movie's plot, though not in accordance with the general wikipedia style of writing, are witty enough and thus I propose to preserve them. I kindly ask to post your opinion here before removing them.

Technical Goofs[edit]

I removed the "goof" about Hawk being called Hawks. This was intentional. People add 'S's at the end of last names all the time. Mcflytrap 15:43, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This may have been "intentional" but was a product of either sloppy editing, scripting, or both. "'s" are added to people's names when used to indicate possession, not randomly when referring to someone by name as in this movie.

Actually, they ARE added arbitrarily all the time. Someone named Hawk could easily be greeted as "Hawks" for no reason. It's easily describable as a trucker thing. No need to regard it as a goof, especially when the burden of proof is on the skeptic in this case. LycanFury09 (talk) 20:46, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Barnical men? WTF? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.36.42.223 (talk) 00:58, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Most well-known[edit]

I dispute the sentence that says this is one of the most well known Stallone films. I wouldn't put this in the top ten. Ask anyone what Stallone has been in, and you'll get any one of the Rockys or Rambos, maybe Cliffhanger, or Demolition Man or Judge Dredd. Stop or my mom will shoot, anyone? A reference would be great...

Seriously though, why does it say "Over the Top is a 1987 barnical men dramatic/action film" in the article? What the hell is "barnical men" doing in that sentence?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.36.42.223 (talk) 04:15, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I had never heard of this movie until Norm MacDonald's character made fun of Stallone's movies in an SNL sketch in the 90s. 162.136.193.1 (talk) 15:53, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Scott Norton is Not In This Movie[edit]

I had heard Scott Norton is in this movie somewhere many years ago, but I just watched it on Netflix and didn't see Norton in it anywhere. The IMDB page for Norton doesn't have anything about this movie and the the page for this movie doesn't have anything about Norton. Google and Youtube don't have anything either. Probably a myth spread by the wrestling world. Not that it matters enough to even change the article. It's kind of funny, actually. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.163.126.104 (talk) 03:35, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Edit[edit]

I changed the first part of the sentence "Over the course of a cross country trip from Colorado to California" to read "Over the course of a trip from Colorado to California"" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Colinj (talkcontribs) 18:08, 13 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
