Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Monocropping. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Connection between CCD and monocropping?[edit]

Can someone tell me what connection might exist between Colony Collapse Disorder in the See Also section and monocropping? I'm at least vaguely familiar with both, but can't even think of a possible reason to list it here. I realize it's been here for over seven years, but I don't see why. Thanks! Adv4Ag (talk) 00:59, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The connection is tenuous and I've removed the see also item. The thought behind it is likely that monocropping is typically pesticide-intensive agriculture, and that certain pesticides have been linked to colony collapse disorder. There are many monocrop farms that don't use these pesticides, however, and they could be employed on non-monocrop farms.Dialectric (talk) 02:16, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! The Intensive Farming link makes a *lot* more sense to me. Best wishes! Adv4Ag (talk) 04:14, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Connection between deforestation and monocropping? Also, why the need to document how buying less equipent is cheaper than buying more equipment? Isn't that self explanatory?[edit]

Thanks for this page! I hope to direct a right many urban folks to it. ;-) My question is, I don't understand how monocropping could be connected to deforestation in any way? The "explantaion" in the text makes no sense.

Also, why the "citation needed" for how it is cheaper to grow fewer crops and thus need fewer pieces of equipment? 2 + 2 still = 4, right? Thank you! --Ronja R (talk) 14:52, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
