She has a very interesting last name. Does anyone know where it comes from?

No idea. There was a stupid "name controversy" section that I felt was inappropriate and was deleted.Tdinatale (talk) 23:39, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Looks French, but "Arabian" is English... My guess for right now is that someone made it up and her family just kept it. --I'ḏOne 20:35, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name of Show[edit]

I'm pretty sure it's "Ten Dollar Dinners with Melissa d'Arabian." Someone changed the title and the name of her show to $10 Dinners and it needs to be reverted Tdinatale (talk) 23:39, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I had looked up the network's official title at [1] and have added it as a citation. Accounting4Taste:talk 23:49, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you!!:) Tdinatale (talk) 23:56, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not a problem. Incidentally, as I learned, Wikipedia seems to have a problem with article titles beginning with $ -- the page had actually been moved to Dinners, which would have been difficult to find. Accounting4Taste:talk 00:20, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ref [3] says the name of the Show is "Ten Dollar Dinners" with Melissa d'Arabian. Change? Tdinatale (talk) 00:27, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

In an episode of the Next Food Network star Melissa said how her mothers suicide left her alone to cook for others. She said this is her inspiration for her to cook. I do not have a reference on the web or from the Food Network site, but she did mention the preceding explicitly on the 3rd last episode where Debbie, Jeffrey and Melissa had to cook for a large group of people critiquing their 3 course meal.
