recent edit - re: table[edit]

I recently added a table of the newly elected UK MEPs. The names are from the BBC's election pages for each region. Northern Ireland isn't included as it hasn't declared their result yet. Northern Ireland's MEPs are commented out in the code. Once they release their result, then they can be added. - Thanks, Hoshie 18:04, 26 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Changes in the introduction. Proposal to change the name of the article.[edit]

I have removed the former second paragraph in this page since this should be put in the way of a 'see also' section at the end of the article. Also added the current uncertainty of the mandate of these MEPs.

I also propose to change the name of the article to 'List of members of the 8th European Parliament for the United Kingdom', stating in the introduction that their mandate is from 2014 to 2019 and outlining, as I do, the particularity that it is not clear the concrete termination of their mandate due to the Brexit process. Changes of affiliation between 2014 and 2019[edit]

It's confusing to read under 2014 European Parliament election in the United Kingdom that UKIP won 24 seats, but then see on this page that UKIP holds only 6 seats. Can this list be reformatted to make the changes more transparent? (After reading the footnotes, I understand that 17 of them changed affiliations, but it's not very straightforward to have this information only in the footnotes.) Could we list changed affiliations using a "/" as done on List of members of the European Parliament for the United Kingdom, 2004–09 and earlier pages? Or perhaps we could add a column to the list for "changes during the session". Krubo (talk) 15:18, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
