The joint article is a problem. Make separate biographies. There is probably sufficient encyclopedic content to survive an WP:AFD.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 19:44, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Fellow Editors:

I strongly and respectfully object to the deletion of the article entitled "John Whitfield Bunn and Jacob Bunn." The article is compound in nature, because the article concerns the biographical background of multiple persons who were connected through historical association and familial association. The critical reference to the article as "familial spam" is simultaneously disrespectful to the intention and the content of the article, and to the historical biographies andd legacies of the persons referenced within the article. The reference sources that are provided within the article are provided in considerable abundance, totaling 226 footnotes. Furthermore, the article concerns men and women who have contributed in prominent ways to the State of Illinois, the City of Chicago, the City of Springfield, Illinois, and many other places. The article does not contain the related biographies of any persons who were irrelevant to the financial, industrial, and economic life of the United States. I respectfully and politely challenge the allegations that the article is worthy of deletion, that the article is "familial spam," and that any person referenced within the article is unimportant to United States history, and to the history of the American Midwest, Illinois, Chicago, and the City of Springfield, Illinois. I am officially requesting the removal of the request for deletion of the article entitled, "John Whitfield Bunn and Jacob Bunn." Thank you for your consideration. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.233.68.205 (talk) 23:38, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Fellow Editors: The article on Jacob Bunn and John Bunn is no different from the Wikipedia article on the "Pratt-Romneys," which is an article that outlines and discusses the history of a very historic, very important, and very noteworthy United States family. The article on Jacob Bunn is of the same ilk. I request that the deletion notice be removed permanently. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.233.68.205 (talk) 00:06, 14 December 2011 (UTC) Dear Fellow Editors: The article on Jacob Bunn and John Bunn is no different from the Wikipedia article on the "Pratt-Romneys," which is an article that outlines and discusses the history of a very historic, very important, and very noteworthy United States family. Any relation to George Bunn of the Bunn-O-Matic Corporation?[edit]

There is a section in this article named "The J. & J. W. Bunn Grocery Company". Is it true that this venture subsequently became known as "Bunn Capitol Wholesale Grocery Company" in the 1950s? George R. Bunn managed this company and created a beverage division that eventually turned into the Bunn-O-Matic Corporation according to this. Should these articles reference each other in any way? - PaulT+/C 13:22, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
