Untitled[edit]

I believe that John Rich deserves his own page now. He had a career before joining Big and Rich and he had one after he left Lonestar. Can this project go forward? CharlesM 14:19, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"The Good Lord and the Man"[edit]

Is "The Good Lord and the Man" really going to be released as a single? It's really taking a while for it to be released, and despite the source, this may not appear to be true after all. Ryanbstevens (talk) 17:43, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yep. I was right. It wasn't released as a single. We get lies all the time, especially these days. Hopefully, John Rich will release another single as a solo artist, or as the other half of Big & Rich if they ever work as a duo again. Ryanbstevens (talk) 08:38, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

– Traffic counts for each article:

A check of inbound links shows far more incoming links for the musician than any of the other John Richs — no doubt due to Rich's membership in two different bands, his extensive songwriting and production catalog, and his appearance on the Celebrity Apprentice. If all the other John Richs have barely one-tenth the page traffic of his article, I think it's obvious that this is the John Rich most people are looking for. Relisted. • Comment – Isn't there WP:RECENTISM at work here? Will this person still be the primary Rich John in ten years? Fame can be fleeting in the music business. —BarrelProof (talk) 04:56, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Very likely, if his fame has been so consistent. In the past 8 years, he's had several irons in the fire — his work in Big & Rich, several solo efforts during their hiatus, several production credits on others' work from 2004 to the present, an extensive catalog of songs written by others. The only reason he doesn't have his name on someone else's work right now is because Big & Rich's comeback album is in the queue. The name John Rich is all over the place in country, and even in pop with his work on Jewel albums. 8 years is definitely no flash in the pan. • Support per nom. The page views indicate John Rich the musician is the primary topic. Eric444 (talk) 21:03, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support: it looks like a clear case of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. None of the others seems to have a strong case for long term significance.--SabreBD (talk) 22:24, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support I don't see any of the other John Rich articles becoming more viewed than the musician article. --Caldorwards4 (talk) 22:24, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Non Neutral Point of view[edit]

The line "After departing from the band in 1998 when things were going down the wrong path and his whole world was heading in a different direction" is just editorializing. It's not neutral POV or attributed as something John Rich has said.

I agree. I'm going to delete it altogether. 209.90.140.72 (talk) 01:36, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
