Untitled[edit]

"Hugo Ernst Mario Schuchardt was born on 4 February 1842 in Gotha (Thüringen) and died on 21 April 1827 in Graz (Styria)."

I'm not an expert, but I have this gut feeling, that this is somewhat not right. Dieing before borning is really not an usual thing.

First linguist not to stigmatize creoles[edit]

I'm not sure the statement "He is also the first linguist to have promulgated seriously the idea that creole languages are in no way inferior to other languages" is accurate, as William Greenfield did just that in his work A Defence of the Surinam Negro-English Version of the New Testament, published 12 years before Schuchardt was born.--Whatagreatidea (talk) 02:27, 24 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
