namesake was a ultra-nationalistic fascist[edit]

I find it utterly misleading to call d'Annunzio just a "writer and poet". He was a ultra-nationalistic fascist, prerunner and infuencer of Mussolini, and ruled todays Rijeca as a fascist tyrannic "duce" for years!
