Millöcker's death and burial[edit]

Mr Millöcker has been given two dates on which he died - which is true? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.113.57.161 (talk) 14:32, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, he only died on one date, and the article correctly says that that was 31 December, 1899 (I have four WP:RS which confirm this). The sentence Karl Millöcker died in Baden bei Wien; on 27 October 1900, he was buried in an honorary grave in Vienna's Zentralfriedhof cemetery (group 32, A35) tells you where he died. After the semicolon, it tells you when he was buried, which isn't the same. If you follow the Zentralfriedhof ref, you'll see that it says that he died in 1899. And I have no idea what an honorary grave is, nor whether he was buried more than once. --GuillaumeTell 16:52, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I've now followed the honorary grave link, so I know what that is. And I've had a look at his article in German Wikipedia, and it says there that the honorary grave wasn't ready when he died, and that after a memorial service on 2 January 1900 in the Protestant Church, Baden bei Wien, he was buried temporarily on 7 January 1900 in the chapel of the local cemetery. --GuillaumeTell 17:11, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
