Titles[edit]

A list of titles has recently been added, referenced to http://www.unithistories.com/units_index/default.asp?file=../officers/personsx.html - unfortunately that is a front page which doesn't mention Robertson. By navigating through, and guessing a bit, I've found http://www.unithistories.com/officers/Army_officers_R01.html#Robertson_BH This does not support all of the new information, in particular, the final entry:

1961-1974: General The Rt. Hon. The Lord Robertson of Oakridge, Bt., GCB, GBE, KCMG, KCVO, DSO, MC

You don't get "The Lord" together with "Bt."; and "The Lord" is a form of address; his title was "Baron". --Redrose64 (talk) 15:19, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Bold Sir Brian Robertson[edit]

When Robertson was the Chairman of the British Transport Commission, Henry Fairlie wrote a satirical four-stanza poem entitled "Bold Sir Brian Robertson", reproduced in Bonavia, Michael R. (1981).
