Positive POV?[edit]

This article currently asserts that "A railway line along the coast of Northern Sweden is much needed". As I remember it, the cost-benefit analysis that was performed before the decision pointed very conclusively against building it, presumably due to low population density, long distances and high expenses of building close to the coast, where river mouths are wide. I.e., the decision to building it instead of allocating scarce infrastructure funding elsewhere was a purely political decision ("pork barrel") against the advise the government's own infrastructure agencies, but probably very popular regionally. My recollection is that the whole project, at least for the first couple of years after the decision, often was cited as examples of irrational infrastructure decision making and a waste of taxpayer's money. This should reasonably be reflected in the article, using proper references. We'll see if I get around to chasing them down, at one time or anther. Tomas e (talk) 20:37, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mixed English and Swedish language[edit]

The first half of the article use the English term Bothnia Line whereas the last section about Norrbotniabanan refers to the line with the Swedish term Botniabanan. The last section should also refer to the line in English. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.233.67.25 (talk) 10:36, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
