Untitled[edit]

I just finished the book after I heard good reviews about it on Fresh Air NPR. I am very much impressed by the author. I am trying to collect more information about the author so have created this stub at this time. Please do not remove the article.

Name Change[edit]

How to change the title of this page? I think the name should appear as Alex Von Tunzelmann the current name is with a lower case v —Preceding unsigned comment added by N2271 (talkcontribs) 14:33, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Normally German names with "von" use the lower case for the "von." Is there some information that you have that directs otherwise? VirginiaProp 16:59, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Her website - http://www.alexvontunzelmann.com/Home.html - does not capitalise the "von". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.229.0.207 (talk) 20:06, 16 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Researcher?[edit]

The lede section currently claims that "Tunzelmann has worked primarily as a researcher." This is unsourced and not supported by the body of the article: the "Career" section is entirely about her work as a writer not a researcher. Much of her writing is of course based on research, some of which may be original and by herself (although I note that her latest book, Fallen Idols, includes in the acknowledgements the names of 6 research assistants). There's nothing in the article to suggest that she's particularly known for her original research, and nothing to suggest that she's ever worked as a pure researcher, tracking down material for somebody else to write up and analyse. So as far as I can see, the statement is pretty meaningless and misleading. I'm therefore going to remove it. If anyone disagrees, please provide explanation and sources.
