Status report from the Portals WikiProject[edit]

Wikipedia:WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018.

Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, and design the portals of the future.

As of April 29th, membership is at 56 editors, and growing.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for each component of portals.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

Reason?[edit]

@Imzadi1979: Why did you rollback all the updates to make this a single page portal? A goal of WikiProject Portals is to update the portals to single page format. By rollbacking, you just undid all the work I did. Reasoning? AmericanAir88^(talk) 04:43, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@AmericanAir88: the edits removed the specific color scheme used by this portal, which not only follows the color scheme of its parent and sibling portals, but also emulates highway guide signage. The edits also changed how the selected photos and DYK areas of the portal worked, removing the links to the archives. Imzadi 1979 → 06:20, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
