Gharib Dust (Persian: غريب دوست), also Romanized as Gharīb Dūst; also known as Qarīb Dūst,[3] is a village in, and the capital of, Barvanan-e Gharbi Rural District of Torkamanchay District, Mianeh County, East Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 381 in 89 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 442 people in 124 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 353 people in 113 households.[2]
