Summary

Description
English: The Basilica of Our Lady of Peace of Yamoussoukro dominates from every point in the city of Yamoussoukro, one of the most unlikely capitals in the world. The Basilica is the largest in the world, a few m. higher than its example in Rome. President Félix Houphouët-Boigny of Cote d'Ivoire had the basilica built 20 years ago in his birthplace that he had made capital of the country. Twenty years later Abidjan remains the economical and political capital of the country though.
