Summary

Description
English: High contrast level-adjusted image highlighting the seams of the concrete staves and the hoop spacing towards the top of the silo.

Near the top, a single hoop is sufficient to hold the staves together but progressively towards the bottom more hoops are needed to counter forage pressure on the outside wall.

Notice how the lower hoops are aligned perfectly across the stave edges, effectively hiding them from view near the ground.
