Summary

Description A U.S. Navy Lockheed P-3C Update I Orion aircraft of Patrol Squadron VP-68 Blackhawks, taxing toward the Naval Air Facility Washington, D.C. terminal after completing a training flight which set a new standard of aviation safety for the Naval Reserve by marking 100,000 mishap free flight hours. The squadron was commissioned in 1970 and compiled the safety record over the next 24 years, one flight at a time.
