Fremont Township is one of twelve townships in Steuben County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 2,993 and it contained 1,224 housing units.[3]

Geography[edit]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 23.15 square miles (60.0 km2), of which 22.94 square miles (59.4 km2) (or 99.09%) is land and 0.21 square miles (0.54 km2) (or 0.91%) is water.[3] Lakes in this township include Eaton Lake, Fish Lake and Walters Lake.

The township contains four cemeteries: Bower, Coventer (also known as Ray Cemetery), Lakeside, and Fremont Cemetery (listed by the USGS as "The Old Cemetery").[4]
